The Solar system The old Newtonian/Copernican Heliocentric - TopicsExpress

The Solar system The old Newtonian/Copernican Heliocentric model of our solar system is not quite correct. We tend to think of the planets orbiting around the Sun in helical orbits. Since the planets travel at different speeds around the sun, you would expect the planets to not be visible, meaning hiding behind the sun, at some point during the year. Well they dont. We also know that the sun is moving in a very large circle around the Milky Way galaxy and that the galaxy is also moving through the universe. In other words, if the solar system is moving AND the galaxy is also moving, then the planets cannot possibly be orbiting the sun along the lame plane with each rotation. Here is an interesting view of the concept: youtube/watch?v=0jHsq36_NTU#t=23 Now the video is not completely accurate because it does not include the sun and the Milky Way movement. Fortunately, the videos creator decided to answer this problem with another video here: youtube/watch?v=C4V-ooITrws Please Like, Comment or Share.
