However, the 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Jack’s absence on the Sony ZS-S3IPBLACK Personal Audio Docking System is a critical omission on the part of the manufacturer. The distinguishing hallmark of the portable audio experience on any boombox is to achieve a personal listening session through a built-in speaker or to enjoy private listening through headphones. The consumer should always be presented with a choice between music sharing and private listening options on a boombox that they have purchased. Consumers must be empowered to avoid annoying family and the public with music that they detest. This task is easily accomplished by plugging in a comfortable pair of headphones to a boombox. The absence of the 3.5mm Stereo Headphone Jack on the Sony ZS-S3IPBLACK Personal Audio Docking System effectively limits the number of hours that this product can be used on a daily basis. Many consumers can’t play their boombox at all hours during the night. The lack of a private listening jack precludes consumers from connecting a headphone amplifier to this unit to achieve audiophile listening sessions in the comfort of the mind, heart and soul. Consumers are also prevented from connecting the Sony ZS-S3IPBLACK Personal Audio Docking System to their computers to record FM/AM programs and that is a disappointment.
