The South African Penguin, also known as the Jackass Penguin, was added to the US Endangered Species list in 2010. Their numbers have decreased from more than a million to fewer than 80,000 and in a few decades, NONE will be left in the wild, if this situation continues. These special creatures are beautiful and precious and the only penguin species that breeds in Africa. They play a vital role in the ecological system and they fully deserve to be protected, so let us take action to save them from extinction. Let us raise awareness about their plight and educate ourselves in finding ways to contribute towards a better future for them.
