The South Shore Waldorf School, in Blockhouse, is in the running for the Majesta “Trees of Knowledge” Competition where it has a chance to win a $20,000 Outdoor Classroom! The goal of the Competition is to generate inspiring, creative ideas where students can learn “outside the traditional classroom.” South Shore Waldorf School has proposed an outdoor classroom with a “living” amphitheatre made of real, living trees! They would also like to design various gardens and cold frames for growing and preserving fruits, vegetables, nuts and dyes year round.
