The South is assigned a service role: to provide resources, cheap labor, markets, opportunities for investment and, lately, export of pollution. I am sure someday in near future, many western countries will repent for their historical policies supporting dictatorships in third-world countries merely for devouring natural resources in southern hemisphere. Something that is now going on and making lots of socio-economical and environmental risks in global scale. As an example, they need some dictators in middle east because democracy will finish the cheap petrol in the middle east. Dealing with one person and his mafia family is way much easier than a true democratic system. It is not a surprise that you can see many of these rich mafia family in western countries, making trouble time to time and making bad reputation for their homeland countries and eventually weaken any hopes for democracy in those regions in a closed loop of Developed Countries greed for riding cars, burning petrol, consuming electricity and non-sense luxuries. Global Warming is one of the many curses of all of these mad behaviors! This is a serious countdown to civilization collapse in this century. I hope it wont be too late to fix this sick system...
