The Southeastern Illinois College Library is participating in the eRead Illinois Program. Designed to increase access to ebooks across Illinois, initial funding for the project is provided through a grant from the Illinois State Library. Ebooks are available free of charge to any current SIC student with a library account. Consisting of primarily bestsellers and popular fiction/non-fiction, the collection consists of nearly 16,000 ebooks and is growing daily. You may visit sic.axis360.baker-taylor to browse the collection. Compatible devices include Apple (iPad/iPhone), Android, Kindle, Nook, and others. A student ID/library card is required to download books. Viewing and downloading instructions are located at sic.edu/library-resources/eread-illinois. If you need a student ID, the library staff will be happy to create one for you. The library barcode/account information is located on the back of the student ID card. Enjoy! Gary W. Jones, M.A., M.S.L.I.S Librarian
