The Southern Colorado chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management will hold its 23rd annual economic forecast breakfast Thursday 1/30/14 at the DoubleTree Hotel, 1775 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd.. Registration begins at 7 a.m., breakfast takes place at 7:30 a.m., and the program runs from 8 to 10 a.m. This years forecast will feature five speakers: Economist Fred Crowley of UCCS will discuss the state of the economy; Bob Cope of the citys Economic Vitality Division will review city projects and initiatives; Bruce Betts, broker/owner of Re/Max Advantage, will look at the housing market; Brian Wagner, a broker with Sierra Commercial Real Estate, will discuss the commercial market; and Doug Carter of national real estate firm Sperry Van Ness, will explore the apartment market.
