The Special Olympics of Texas and Law Enforcement Torch Run organizations invite you to participate in the Joe Avezzano Golf Tournament at the Tour 18 Golf Course, 8718 Amen Corner, in Flower Mound at 1:30 p.m. on September 22. Former Dallas Cowboys Special Teams Coach Joe Avezzano was an avid supporter of Special Olympics Texas and served on the Special Olympics board, faithfully returning each year to celebrate the Summer Games and the Law Enforcement Torch Run with the Special Olympics athletes. The golf tournament will continue his legacy with Special Olympics Texas by supporting year-round training and competition for more than 5,700 area athletes with intellectual disabilities participating in 18 sports.
