The Spirit of the Trees I was praying and had another vision I - TopicsExpress

The Spirit of the Trees I was praying and had another vision I wish to share with you. I became one with the trees in the forest. The spirit of the trees, bushes and plants was in me and I knew things from their eyes. It was a peaceful feeling. But it was also very exciting. As a tree, I could feel the energy from the Mother Earth entering my roots and flowing through me to the very tips of my branches and leaves. It poured into the birds that nested in me, and the squirrels that climbed my branches. Their messages, along with the energy of the Earth, flowed through me to the sky and to the Great Spirit. I stood like this for a long time. During that time, I was reminded of the power of the Trees. Trees are the life-lines between the Earth and the Sky. Trees anchor all who live on them and under them to the Great Spirit. Even as a tree, I was aware of my being. I was aware of my life. I envisioned myself growing strong and tall. I felt my trunk to be firm and hard. I felt my connection to both the Earth and the Sky and how I was a link between them. An Eagle landed in my branches. I said to him, “Brother Eagle, you bring the words of mere man to the ears of the Great Spirit. You bring back the words of the Great Spirit to those who have ears to hear it. What do you have to tell me this day.” Brother Eagle replied, “What can a tree tell the people of the world? They do not listen to you. They do not hear your words. They do not know you have a voice.” I told the Eagle that some did know. He said, “Me and my brothers have talked to the trees for time unending, bringing the words of the Great Spirit. Has anyone listened yet? Has anyone asked the trees to speak?” With those words he flew away. Then an owl landed in my branches. I said, “Sister Owl, you bring the mysteries of the night to the people of the world. Your eyes are keen and can see through the darkness. Tell me, please, what do you see through the darkness around you?” Sister Owl said, “Even in the dark the Great Spirit is watching and cares for his children. He sends them messages so they may learn and grow in happiness and prosperity. I bring those messages to the trees, they bring them to those who live below them. Has anyone listened yet?” The Owl flew away. My spirit changed form and I was no longer a tree. I was once again myself. I looked up. I was sitting under a tree. “Brother Tree,” I said. “Teach me. I want to listen to your words.” The tree branches above my head waved in the breeze, and a nut from the tree fell. It landed close to me. I picked up the nut and thanked the tree. Then I had another vision. I saw a land of great tree people. They looked like trees but walked and talked and had families. I was a coyote, running between them. One tree bent over and picked me up. He stroked my animal ears back and said, “We, the trees, are like the stitching in fabric, we hold the parts that clothe the Earth together. If you take too many of us away, the fabric will unravel and become undone.” He shook my body and I became a slug. He put me on his bark and I moved slow and steady. I was happy to be a slug on this great Tree Spirit. “Each tree holds a message. To hear that message, stand among us, and open your heart. We are waiting to tell you.” My vision ended. When I awoke, I thought to myself, “I know the message of the trees. Why would I have such a vision.” Then I walked outside and sat under the trees by my house. I could feel their spirit around me. It filled me and I understood something I had not before. There are countless messages in the trees. No man can know them all. We always have room for learning from them. I longed to be that slowly slug again. To climb on the tree’s bark, slow and steady and have no worries.
