The St. Clair College Women’s Softball team won OCAA Provincial Gold with a 7-5 victory over Conestoga (Kitchener) Saturday afternoon at Mic Mac Park to claim its first crown since 2009. This is the 4th OCAA title for St. Clair in Softball since the program started in 2002. Alexa Georgiou (Windsor, ON/Assumption) was named Most Valuable Player for the Championship Tournament pitching complete games in all three wins for the Saints. She was also the leading hitter in the tournament finishing with a 0.727 batting average and was tops for the weekend with 6 RBI’s adding a home run.
