The State of Israel, born in religious motivations, will be extending its slave-labor laws to include more victims. If this article is accurate, the State of Israel will have a civilian national service slave-labor program as well as a military one. Apparently the extensions are being made in the secular name of fairness. Debaters on one side speak of the duty to study the Torah (at the expense of tax-victims); and debaters on the other side speak of equally sharing the social burden, which means altruism is the standard. The article says nothing of individual rights. By objective moral standards, how much longer will Israel remain superior to its neighbors?
