The Storm Clouds Cantata was written by the Australian composer - TopicsExpress

The Storm Clouds Cantata was written by the Australian composer Arthur Benjamin. This chorale was written for the assassination scene in the Alfred Hitchcock 1934 film, The Man Who Knew Too Much, in the Royal Albert Hall. Hitchcock was happy with this piece of music, but offered Bernard Herrmann the opportunity to compose a piece of his own if he had the desire. Herrmann admired the piece so much that he simply re-orchestrated Benjamins music.
