The Story of Katy: The following photos are disturbing, but the dog IS in treatment and doing alright. We will fundraise to either send her to an adopter in the UK, or bring her to Canada. There are approximately 15 dogs in this pack, and it is a very sad situation. Please watch for the post about the whole group. Katy is a very sweet dog in Bacau, Romania, who has had chunks of skin ripped off. According to the vet, she has either had a car accident, or was caught in some kind of trap. Her wounds were infected, and she was very sick, but thanks to intervention by one of the people who rescued the very first dogs we brought to Canada, she has been taken into care and is expected to recover within a few weeks. We will also be sharing photos of her pack. They live in a space beside a grocery store parking lot, and because they are constantly begging for food, people have made complaints. The dog catchers will remove them sooner or later, and several are also in heat. This is a close and bonded pack who care for each other, but we are swamped with bills and low donations currently, so are appealing for help from other rescues, or any individuals who are able to take on one or more of these dogs.
