The Story that Prompted my Seemingly Awkward Resolution Today I met John (not real name) my vocal drinkmate when i was abt 2 board the minibus to work. As usual, he started narrating stories without offering any greetings. This time, it was about the English premier league opening games which he very well knows i dont want anything to do with. And then my phone came to my rescue. My girlfriend called to say hi, and to my amusement, she was using our mother tongue. I stayed on the phone for about 5 minutes, exchanging jokes and all that kind of words lovers share. To my surprise, John didnt leave my side even though it was obvious that he was irritated. Just after i cut the phone, John revealed the reason why he waited for me to finish the call. man ndimaona ngati ndiwe wabwinobwino. I could hide my surprise at the senseless remark. Sindimadziwa kuti umayankhulanso zima capital letters, he continued his senseless statement. Now that really pissed me off. I cant remember the last time i so wanted to hit some1 like i wanted to hit John today. But then I realised he was not worth it. Maybe it was my fault that he did kno. So i made the resolution that i have to let every1 who knows my name kno that i speak capital letters. THE RESOLUTION: From today onwards, if we meet on the street, if you wanna talk to me, either we speak Chitumbuka or English, or we dont speak at all!!!!! NOTE: That applies even on facebook and all such silly media.
