The Stranraer Stingrays travelled to DG1 on Thursday 6th June to take part in the "Guid Nychburris" gala an annual D&G event. the Academy relay team compiling of Josh Mitchell, Adrianna Bullivant, Lewis Macleod and Rachel Beswick stormed in winning the 200m freestyle in a time of 2.03 acheiving the gold medal!! The 2nd academy teamof Kieran Lawson, Rhian Cowie, Rebecka McDowell and Declan Greer came in 4th position. The primary and secondary swimmers ammassed a total of 1244 points with the end results. Josh Mitchell and Adrianna Bullivant were top swimmers with an amazing 5 golds and a silver medal each plus Gold in the relay, with Kieran Lawson following with 4 gold and 2 silver Other medal winners included, Sam Mitchell 1 Gold, 3 silver Rachel Beswick 1 Silver, 3 Bronze, Anton Simpson 1 Bronze, Spencer Bullivant 1 Bronze, Logan Hare 1 Silver and Declan Greer with 1 Bronze and 1 Silver A total medal haul of 15 gold, 4 gold relays, 8 silver and 5 Bronze A massive well done to all the swimmers who took part This weekend its back to DG1 for their 2 day event GO STINGRAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
