The Studio Museum in Harlem offers an eleven-month studio residency for three emerging artists working in any media. The program is designed to serve emerging artists of African and Latino descent working locally, nationally or internationally. Each artist is granted a free non-living studio space, a $20,000 fellowship and a $1,000 material stipend. Artists have 24-hour-access to the Museums third-floor studios and are expected to work in the studio a minimum of twenty hours per week and participate in open studios and public programs. At the end of the residency, an exhibition of the artists’ work is presented in the Museum’s galleries. The Artist-in-Residence application closes on April 1, 2015. See more here: bit.ly/1BSzSu2
