The Summerville Evening Rotary Club conducts monthly RAKs (Random Acts of Kindness) and while Past President Skip Williams is driving to work, he sees a pile of American Flags dumped for trash pickup outside a vacant house. Outraged he stops and pick up the flags and poles and voices his objections on Facebook. The Summerville Evening Rotary Club had a scheduled “social” meeting later that day, so the project turned into an impromptu RAK, where members were taught how to properly fold and dispose of a soiled American flag.
