The Sun today through our Coronado Hydrogen Alpha telescope (red image) and Stellarvue Raptor 105 with baader filter (white image). Note the very large sun spot in the images. This sun spot is large enough to be seen using eclipse glasses and should be visible the rest of the week. We will be streaming live from one of these scopes Thursday for the eclipse from 4:30pm - 5:45pm on our Ustream channel: ustream.tv/channel/siu-carbondale-public-astronomy
