The Supreme Court recently ruled in an 8-1 verdict (Sotomayor was the only dissenter - seriously) that Because [officer] Darisse’s mistake of law was reasonable, there was reasonable suspicion justifying the stop under the Fourth Amendment. This sets a bad precedent for Americans. Police have already been given the green light to lie to the public and this just gives them permission to lie to the courts that well, I made a mistake and misunderstood the law. Very dangerous to our 4th Amendment rights.
