The Surrey Art Gallery will be hosting a juried exhibition organized by the Arts Council of Surrey. Artists are invited to enter 2-D work for Cascadia: a juried exhibition of West Coast Flora and Fauna. Deadline for entry is August 1. The Exhibition will be on view from August 23 to November 26 and is presented to complement the exhibition Flora and Fauna: 400 Hundred Years of Artists Inspired by Nature from the National Gallery of Canada to be presented at the Surrey Art Gallery this fall. Artists are encouraged to respond to the biological diversity and ecology of British Columbia, as present works of our of regional species of plant and animal life, the human impact on the environment, and the celebration of wildlife’s relationship to habitat in the landscape of the Pacific Northwest.
