The Tai Phakes are Buddhism in religion. In each and every Tai Phake villages there is a Buddhist temple to perform religious service and monks stay in the temple for giving sermon. The religious institution of the Tai Phake includes two institutions- one is THERAVADA BUDDHISM and another is those customs, rites, rituals and prohibitions, standards of conduct and rules primarily concerned with or justified in terms of supernatural and sacred. Due to influence of Buddhism, they observed AHIMSA, left cruel characteristics like killing and secrificing and prefer non-violence. Ancestor worship; nature worship; ceremonies; genna; all included in Tai Phake worship. Their worship consists of prayer petitions and offering of rice and flower. The Tai Phake as a whole is sober and kind hearted people. Violence is out of their habit. Communal tension almost nil within the community. They are peace lover and do help each other in any kind of works.
