The Talisman Charitable Trust The Charity assists those living in the UK and occasionally assists charities with similar objectives. The Charity assists with the relief of poverty, which includes grants for education, health, housing, disablement or disability. The Charity requires applications to be supported by another charitable organisation, local authority or Citizens Advice Bureau. The Charity does not have any restrictions in relation to their grant criteria. Who is eligible? People in the UK who are living on a very low income. How to apply? In writing to the correspondent through a social worker, Citizens Advice or similar third party. Applications should be on headed paper and include the individual’s full name and address, a summary of their financial circumstances, what is needed and how much it will cost. A brief history of the case and a list of any other charities approached should be included as well. Supporting evidence such as medical documentation, a letter from the applicant’s school and written quotations would also be helpful. Applications are considered throughout the year. Only successful applications will receive a reply. Please note: applications should not be sent by recorded delivery or any ‘signed for’ services.
