The Talking Centipede - Patience The former soldier was very impatient and his shrink recommended he buy a pet to learn how to be more patient and better adapt to the real world. But whatever he chose he had to stick with .. So he went to the pet store and told the owner that he wanted to buy an unusual pet. And one with the least amount of maintenance, etc etc After some discussion, he finally bought a talking centipede, (100-legged bug), named George which came in a little white box to use for his house. He took the box back home, found a good spot for the box, and decided he would start off by taking his new pet to church with him. They chatted all the way home and were getting to be good friends when. He asked the centipede Would you like to go to church with me today? We will have a good time a little voice said ok..but it will take me a few minutes. The guy is thrilled and gets ready and comes back and asks ..are you ready ? no answer ..then he heard mumbling. HEY ...ARE YOU READY YET??...CHURCH STARTS IN 10 MINUTES.!!!!!.. Dammit soldier ...speak up ...all I hear is mombling. The guy loses his temper and is stamping around when he hears a bunch of small footsteps ... ABOUT TIME HE SAYS !! WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SOO LONG?????... George says....bend down here close so you can hear me....and screams. . I WAS PUTTING MY DAMMNED SHOES ON. Ronnie D.
