The Tamil Film Thillana Mohanambal (1968) was a super magahit of A.P.Nagarajan; it fetched almost all awards the same year. The Sivaji starrer had Padmini as the heroine (even though she had left film industry and was in th USA, APN was very particular that she should take the role). All the 5 songs and the bits were composed by K.V.Mahadevan and the two hit songs Marainthirunthu and Nalamthaana were sung by the Melody Queen P.Susheela; well supported by Madurai MPN Sethuraman-Ponnuchami team on the Nagaswaram in the second song.
