The Task Facing the Ummah - According to Sharia The effective response to aggression should not be through emotions and charitable deeds. Requesting from the Ummah to undertake an action that does not conform with the Shariah solutions leads to squandering her faculties if not sidetracking her from the serious work and the legitimate and fruitful path that tackles her issues. Furthermore, it leads to exonerating the rulers from the crime of conspiring with the Jews to slaughter the Muslims in Gaza. Every single individual should determine his stance vis-à-vis the agendas of the leaderships and political parties concerning the repelling of the aggression and the salvaging of the Ummah from the abyss she has plunged into; the children of the Ummah should determine their standpoints vis-à-vis those agendas on the basis of the Book and the Sunnah since there exists no other way to achieve salvation but through our adherence to them and our return to Allah (swt) in whose hands is our long-awaited victory. This would be the factual and practicable response of the Ummah. If Allah the Almighty has determined the method of achieving victory, repelling the aggression against the Muslims and liberating the lands and the sacred places through supplication, collecting donations and weeping, or through approaching the international organisations, futile actions and chanting in the streets, or through gossiping on social networks, if this is what Allah (swt) has ordered us to do to help those who have been charred to death in Gaza, then let people rally around the political leaderships from among the scholars, parties and chieftains who advocate the expressing of our support for the people in Gaza according to this method. But if Islam has specified the tackling of the Muslims issues with elaborate Shariah rules that elucidate what the Muslims should undertake in order to achieve revival and liberation and to regain the lands, restore their dignity, reverse oppression and belligerence, every individual of the Ummah should then react propitiously to the political forces that abide by the commands of Allah and follow their leadership. Allah (swt) has ordered the Muslims to repel the oppression and the aggression we are witnessing in Gaza according to one single method, namely Jihad. It is the only method that achieves a palpable outcome in the battlefield. The duty of Jihad can never be fulfilled under the decumbent and profligate regimes or under the leadership of those collaborating rulers; and that which is necessary to accomplish a duty is in itself a duty, namely to generate the pious ruler who does not solicit the solutions from the White House or its tools from among the international organisations. Any solution that does not include toppling the rulers, appointing the Khalifah and declaring Jihad would be a sheer naivety by those who think they can flog a dead horse or those who think they can get blood out of a stone. Those who think there are other solutions than the one Allah (swt) has ordered in His Book, lack trust in Allah (swt). The work towards toppling the treacherous regimes and the collaborating rulers and establishing the Khilafah is the path towards revival, Jihad and liberation. There is no other way. The first practical step towards achieving this objective, which will bring us salvation, and which every single person can undertake, is to boycott the political process in all the Arab lands, to reject all that has been built on it in terms of constructs that contradict the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, such as the legislative elections, the agreements on the manmade and democratic constitutions, and the secular civil state, and to snub all those who contribute to entrench the Western values in the Muslims lands, individuals and groups alike. The Ummah is capable of toppling the rulers and establish the Islamic State if the willpower is generated, without the need for the international community, which will never accept anything but a secular state and collaborating rulers to safeguard its interests. Sympathetic words and financial donations may soothe the pain but it will not cure the causes of the disease. We therefore urge all the Muslims to assume the real work and tread the legitimate path towards establishing the authority of Islam and repel the aggression O you who believe! betray not the trust of Allah and the Messenger, nor misappropriate knowingly things entrusted to you.
