The Tasmania Fire Service has declared a Total Fire Ban for the Southern region only from midnight on Saturday 27 September to midnight Sunday 28 September. Please remember that during a Total Fire Ban it is a criminal offence to: * Light a fire in the open air on any land for any purpose * Use machines or apparatus that may cause a spark or flame in the open air. This includes grinding, cutting and welding. BBQs that use wood, charcoal or other solid fuel are not permitted during a Total Fire Ban.
