The Tax Foundation released their annual state business tax climate index, and once again, New York was ranked as having the second worst business climate in the country. That is unacceptable. Unfortunately, as a small business owner in New York, I can speak to the accuracy of these rankings. For New York to thrive, we need to be doing all we can to make it easy for businesses to grow-- including cutting tax rates, reducing burdensome regulations, and promoting small business opportunities. When businesses expand, the economy improves and good paying job opportunities are created.
