The Television Addicts played in Perth on Saturday night at The Rosemount Hotel and a fun time was had by all. If you were in Perth, were able to go and didnt, well, kick yourself now because we were great. As Mr. T. would say, I pity the fool! I know of people who travelled from Sydney to see it and DJ Lodio (who was amazing) came all the way from Tokyo for the gig! He spun discs between sets as a favour just because he wanted to be involved. Ray Ahn was simply tremendous on bass, playing those Victims songs like hed known them all his life (which he almost had). James and I surprised ourselves with our ability to keep the energy up for what was the longest-ever set of Victims songs in history. The Victims only ever played half-hour sets back in the day and Saturday night we played for over an hour. I dont know our exact set length because I never checked my watch and the time flew so fast it felt like ten minutes. We played 24 songs all up. Of course James and I made quite a few mistakes but that was no different to any Victims show we ever did anyway! Where it counted we were there 100%, ladies and gentlemen. Yes indeed. There are quite a few clips on YouTube already, put up by punters (thank you) but the one I linked here is of our opening song, Victim, which was always the first song in any Victims set. We enjoyed it so much we wanna do it again.
