The Telling Project is coming to Minneapolis. The Telling Project is a national non-partisan, not-for-profit organization that seeks to open up conversations between Military veterans / family members and the civilian populace through live theater performances in which veterans / family members tell their stories of service. Veterans / family members volunteer to be interviewed. Those interviews are transcribed and shaped into a performance script. After refining that script through an intensive workshop and rehearsal process, the veterans / family members perform their own stories for their local community. For more information on The Telling Project, please go to our website: thetellingproject.org. For a sense of the kind of productions we stage, please check out a recording of our Washington DC performance at the Library of Congress: vimeo/106005884 The Telling Project is coming to Minneapolis / St. Paul and will stage a production in early-to-mid March. An intensive week of rehearsal will precede the performances, co-directed by The Telling Project Founder Jonathan Wei and Co-founder Max Rayneard. . Rayneard will hold interviewsat the Guthrie Theater from 10-13 December 2014. If you are interested in interviewing and performing, and would like to sign up for an interview, please do so here: signupgenius/go/10c0548adac2aaaf49-telling1 If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Max Rayneard: [email protected]. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As a past performer for the Telling: Minnesota play, I must say it was a moving and fun experience. I have never done anything like that and it was the 1st time I told my story to a group. It was therapeutic and healing. I highly recommend you consider this unique opportunity. ~Angie Batica
