The Temperature of Love. The temperature of LOVE? What do I - TopicsExpress

The Temperature of Love. The temperature of LOVE? What do I mean by that? Yes, the temperature of love, that is right. Oh, so you dont know that love has temperature. Yes, love has temperature. Those who have been in love or fallen in love will know what I am talking about, but they are not aware that is what it is. Ok, let me show you the temperature of love. The temperature of love divided into three, namely: (i) Warm (ii) Hot (iii) Cold. (i) Warm: Love, naturally is warm. When people enter into relationship or friendship newly, they experience love at its warm temperature. This temperature of love at this temperature is so sweet and wonderful. Depending on those in the relationship, and what they want from the relationship, the temperature, like the speed of a car, can go up and slow down. (ii) Hot: The temperature of love gets hot when it gets to the point that we can say, he or she is madly in love with him or her, or he or she is obsessed about him or her, or he or she is crazy about him or her, etc. That means the love has become like fire, and those involved must watch out, because when something becomes hot, it has the capacity to burn. But love at this level is not all about negativity, there is also something very positive about love becoming hot. It is call being (very) passionate about something. Look at Jesus entering the Temple, and see what He did? He was on fire for His Fathers house (zeal for your house has consumed me), John 2:13-22 and Psalm 69:9a. Think of the life of the saints, their love become hot and they were on fire for Jesus and the Church, like St Paul, St Francis of Assisi, St (Mother) Theresa, etc. In fact, as Christians, we need need on fire for Jesus. (iii) Cold: Loves temperature becomes cold, when those involved in the relationship (be it boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, dating relationship or marriage relationship), gradually becomes disinterested in each other; and begin to feel like staying away from each other. There is something about clod; cold is not as friendly as heat. When people become cold in their love, things begin to fall apart, but not so when people become hot in their love. I am not ruling out fact that negative things can equally happen when love become hot, love become flat when it is cold. Look at this Biblical Passage: Revelation 3:15-16. I know your works, you are neither cold or hot. I wish you were either cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am about to spit you out of my mouth. So, looking at your own relationship, what is the temperature of your love? The temperature of your love will tell you where you are in your relationship, whether you are happy or not?
