The Ten Commandments Of A Job Search : 1] You shall know what you want. 2] You shall make a list of ALL your strengths and achievements. 3] You shall write your own Resume ( not get it written by someone else). Make a customized Resume and cover note for each job separately. 4] Make a list of ALL prospective companies. 5] Do Not mass mail your Resume. Approach select few Recruitment Agencies who specialize and have a track record with the prospective companies. 6] Gather as much info about the company, its requirement and then meet the consultancies and sell your candidature. Help the consultancy sell YOU. 7] Focus on your achievements and not skills alone. 8] Do Not mention your CTC expectation at the beginning stage of the search. ( Till the time customer is convinced about product, no point in discussing price). Keep it open for discussion. 9] Do Not bad mouth your current organization. 10] You shall be honest in revealing all information and also wise by focusing on your positives. May success be all yours :)
