The Ten Commandments are often mistakenly, and by the majority, considered God’s outdated list of rules or do’s and don’ts and that, if attempted to be kept, add up to, for the would be keeper of them, a guilt-ridden, legalistic way of life. Thus, it is said by the masses that the commandments are no longer applicable or a requirement. But, in honest and prayerful study you find the true meaning of the Ten Commandments; you discover that these precepts can aptly be called God’s character transcript and His blueprint for the best and most loving and peaceable life possible for all. They contain the wisdom and priorities everyone needs for relational, spiritual, and societal blessing—and it’s all coming from a loving heavenly Father who wants the best for his children.
