The Tennessee Department of Health inspector just left McCallie - TopicsExpress

The Tennessee Department of Health inspector just left McCallie Dining Hall. It was time for our regular six month inspection, but he also let us know that he had received a call regarding the concerns. I have the report sitting in front of me. McCallie scored a 95 out of 100 possible points. We are replacing the dishwasher in McCallie over the Christmas holiday, and the inspector noted a deduction of three points related to that dish machine. He also noted a deduction of 2 points related to a gasket on the ice machine that needed to be replaced. He spent 75 minutes in the facility, and posted no other deductions for any cause. The report notes no other follow up required. I hope this helps alleviates some concerns. Also, as a side note, please be sure your students are aware that the dining managers hold a monthly meeting open to all students--the purpose is to solicit feedback and input into how we can improve our operations. The meeting takes place the last Wednesday of every month at 5pm in the KUC Grill. The next meeting will be on January 28. Thanks!
