She and her co-researchers are looking for more participants for their study. My name is Phillip Wagner and I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Communication Studies at the University of Kansas. Along with Dr. Adrianne Kunkel at the University of Kansas and Dr. Mary Beth Asbury at Middle Tennessee State University, I am conducting research on physician-patient communication between trans*patients and their healthcare providers. While some research has examined health communication, we believe that communication literature, especially, is lacking research on trans* healthcare issues. If you identify as trans* and are willing to participate in a phone or skype interview with one of us about your communication practices with healthcare professionals, please contact one of us (contact information below).
