The The 24 Hours of LeMons race at the Ridge Motorsports Park was shaping up to be an epic battle with TeamPettyCash over 2nd place. We did a great job managing fuel consumption in the morning so we didnt have to do a 3rd splash and go stop just before the end. When we put our last driver Philipp into the car we told him to drive at 7/10s to hold off the Petty Cash Jeep just enough to maintain a buffer. But our fuel stop ate up our advantage and they were right behind us on the same lap! So we told Philip to put the big hammer down.. and a few laps later this happened! Our turbo Merkur is thirsty at 10 gallons per hour so the next upgrade will be a fuel cell, so we can extend our stints and improve fueling rates. Oh, and a little more boost. Just a little. :) Fantastic racing and crew work by Kelley, Scott, Andrew ,Philipp and Julian !
