The Thing.. Root beer, pumpkin seeds, cheese puffs, and scary movies. Thats basically a weekend with my aunt Robyn (Roberta). I cant even guess how many times I watched this movie with her, but 100 times wouldnt be far off, Im sure. I dont remember what part it is but I used to have to close my eyes for it, she would let me know when it was safe to look again! I love that this movie is 100% special effects - no cgi here! And though you would expect that from a movie made in 1982 - the creatures in The Thing are beyond what you would expect from a movie made in 1982! I plan on watching this again (this week!) with the 2011 version. I havent seen the new one yet, Im pretty excited! Movie night, kids!
