The Thrashing of the Prince The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu - TopicsExpress

The Thrashing of the Prince The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah said, ‘O My servants, I have forbidden oppression for Myself and have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another.’” [Muslim] One of the kings of Persia employed a scholar to teach his son. The scholar taught him etiquettes and the arts and sciences until the boy became highly cultured, educated and wise. Then one day the teacher called the boy and beat him mercilessly for no apparent reason. The boy could do nothing at the time but he continued to nurse a grudge against his teacher for the treatment meted out to him until his father died and he became the king. At last he would take revenge! He summoned the teacher to the court and demanded an explanation for why he had thrashed him at that particular time and place. The teacher said, “Your majesty! When you became highly accomplished I was convinced that one day you would succeed your father. So I thought you should have some idea of what it feels like to be beaten and oppressed, so that during your reign you do not behave unjustly with anyone.” The king was pleased with the sincerity of his teacher and the wise method he had employed to instruct him and rewarded him. SubhanAllāh... Wish our leaders could trashed such and thought in such a manner.... :-)
