The Toast of The Town necklace sold tonight to such a beautiful - TopicsExpress

The Toast of The Town necklace sold tonight to such a beautiful and sweet woman. I was thrilled she appreciated the love and time taken to make this one-of-a-kind necklace. Here is the back story of the inspiration to this piece and a photo of its new owner wearing it. My father is now a full time farmer here in the holler on Big Paddy Creek, but he used to work at the steel mill in Huntington. In that town, by the steel mill. stands Marshall University. The steel mills have diminished over the years but Marshall has continued to grow and build the our community. I made this necklace in honor of Huntingtons past, present and future. The tragic plane crash of The Marshall University Football team in 1970 occurred when I was small but continues to live within the memories of this town. This necklace was a favorite of mine to make! I really loved the shade of the Jade as well as the weight of the metal on this necklace. It weighs down and makes the necklace hang nicely. The metal and Jade are a nice representation between the steel mill metal and jade Marshall green. I can see this necklace being worn with something simple and it transforming your outfit into the Toast of the Town.
