The Tony Stewart and Kevin Ward Jr. incident just goes to show you - TopicsExpress

The Tony Stewart and Kevin Ward Jr. incident just goes to show you that Satin is right there waiting to destroy lives at every given second. Sin lives in ALL of us. We allow our flesh to take control of our emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Anger, rage, frustration are all evil and they come out in each and every one of us everyday. We need to look at the big picture and realize that every little decision we make has a huge impact on ourselves and others. Unfortunately, these emotions of anger come out more in a competitive sport such as Sprintcar racing. Each team has thousands of dollars on the line along with their lives every time they choose to take the track. Putting ourselves in these situations gives our flesh a greater chance to take over. Sadly, this is what happened in the Stewart Ward Jr. incident. Ward was extremely frustrated with Stewart which is understandable. I have been in many situations in a race car where I thought I was taken out when after watching the video it was clearly just a racing deal. However in that moment I was extremely angry and wanted to express my anger, exactly how Ward Jr. did. Even though it was wrong and he should of never got out of the car I can completely understand. Now even though I truly believe deep down that Stewart didnt intentionally hit Ward Jr., I can see where people who have not gotten the opportunity to drive a sprintcar and have not experienced dim track lighting and the extreme lack of vision inside a sprintcar would see the video and believe it was intentional. The bottom line is that we ALL should realize that if we didnt allow our flesh to take control of our reactions to things, and know that those feelings of anger, rage, and frustration are NOT from God, things like this would have a much lesser chance of happening. What happened last night is sickening, and Kevin will never be forgotten. But rather than casting blame on Stewart we should all take accountability and realize that each and everyone us of has been in a situation very similar if not exact in our own lives. Why should a man like Tony Stewart be hated and ridiculed by others that have done the same things! The only difference is that your situation didnt have the loss of a precious life in it! Tony Stewart is a very passionate race car driver with a huge heart that has greatly impacted the Sprintcar world very positively. Dont you think that he has enough pain and suffering that he is going to have to endure the rest of his life knowing that an incident he was involved in took a young mans life? Not to mention his lively hood of racing is now on the line and he could loose it. I hope and pray that God will bring him AND the Ward family through this. Our God is a great God and has NO limits. We should all be humbled by this event and be thankful that we dont have to endure the pain that the Ward family and Stewart are having to endure. Life is precious and each moment counts. We ALL need to pull together and work on ourselves rather than cast blame. WE ALL NEEDS GODS GRACE AND MERCY
