The Top of Ohio Pet Shelter ROCKED Old Field Beach today! Despite very few bumps and very minor ones, we had the most successful Woof Walk ever. Everyone had a great day and to all of the people who came today to support us, we thank each of you. WPKO was there from 10:00-12:00 and Unbelievable DJ Service, Benji Avila, played great music from 1:00-3:00. At 2:00 the K9 Solutions from Dayton,Ohio did a wonderful demonstration with their trained police dogs. I must admit, those dogs are intimidating when charging on command....yikes! Our 50/50 raffle and our 20 item door prize drawings were very successful. To Brant Zell, your homemade dog biscuits were a huge hit! What a little sweetie you are. To our vendors, thank you. Home Away From Home....thank you so much for your support. Robin and Jo, we were so glad you came. To the Indian Lake Fire Department, the kids loved you being there and being able to see the inside of the truck. Our walker with the most sponsorship donated $1,111.11 (he personally made the donation amount all ones as he said we are number 1).....love it! He also donated the cost of the Zoombeezie Bay season passes back to the shelter....which made his total today $1,300.00. We served up delicious hamburgers and hot dogs prepared on the grill...(thanks to our wonderful volunteers and board members for putting on your chef hats today!). We can never thank our supporters enough for the kind, wonderful words of encouragement today....you guys rock. EVERY penny earned today goes to support our amazing homeless animals at the Top of Ohio Pet Shelter. Thanks to everyone from all our volunteers and board of directors....we cannot do it without each of you! We will be back next year even bigger and better!
