The Tories should not have sold off East Coast trains today. I think train services should progressively be brought back into the public sector as franchises expire and Labours policy of creating a public sector provider to challenge for all rail franchises is a good way of achieving this. After so many private sector companies have failed to run East Coast successfully it was finally making money, running good services and had the support of the public back in the public sector. The Tories selling it off is a betrayal of the public and shows the Tories are putting ideology ahead of passengers and taxpayers. If Labour were in office now we would have kept East Coast in the public sector.
