The Town of Port Hedland is seeking feedback from groups using Marie Marland Reserve, McGregor Street Reserve and Western Edge/Osprey Drive. Please find attached invitations to the master planning workshops which are part of the Community Open Space and Infrastructure Master Plan. • Marie Marland workshop – 6:30pm to 8.00pm on Tuesday the 14 October at the JD Hardie Youth Centre, Cottier Drive, South Hedland. • McGregor Street workshop – 6:30pm to 8.00pm on Wednesday the 15 October at the JD Hardie Youth Centre, Cottier Drive, South Hedland. • Western Edge/Osprey Drive workshop - 8.00pm to 8.30pm on Tuesday the 14 October and Wednesday the 15 at the JD Hardie Youth Centre, Cottier Drive, South Hedland. What the workshop is about: a) What facilities are planned at the reserve and elsewhere in the Town in the long term b) How facilities might be laid out on the reserve in the long term to meet sports and other user group’s needs c) Other attributes such as the amenity of the reserves, specific details about what that is existing works and doesnt etc., relationship with parking, play, trails, shade, the stadium and other features d) Specifics about support facilities, social clubs, storage, sharing etc., e) Test/discuss any assumptions from other reports/plans f) Where possible we will also talk about management issues including funding, capital contributions by clubs, cost of use, transition to new facilities etc.
