The Trask family has been active and involved with Spruce Grove Comp for years. Many of you have seen them around, spoken to them, or befriended them. After more than a decade of struggling with an unknown illness, their daughter Taylor has been diagnosed with chronic Lyme Disease. Now, the Trasks want to get the word out: There is Lyme in Alberta. Our reporter, April Hudson, spoke with them on Labour Day about their struggle to get a diagnosis and the uncertain future Taylor faces. To read Taylors story in her own words, or to help the family bear the burden of her treatments, check out gofundme/SavingTaylor. A fundraiser dinner is also being held on Oct 2. Details, as well as more information about this crippling disease, can be found in our Sept. 5 paper.
