The True Gospel (1) “3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” 1 John 2:3-6 Since the creation of the world, most especially right from the time of Noah to the time of John the Baptist men had been the instruments by which God conveyed his message and mind to his people. The Old Testament prophets centered their messages on reconciliation – God reconciling men to himself. But all efforts to bring back mankind to his first state with God through these men of God seemed not to yield a tangible result. So God decided to come down in human form to look for man himself. God came to look for man in person of Jesus. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:1, 14. Going through the teaching of Jesus Christ you would find out that it addressed all aspect of human endeavors and principles of life, though its core objective is to bring back man to God – redeeming the souls of mankind which was later consummated by cruxification, death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus. Mark 10:45. When Jesus finished his ministry here on earth, he commissioned his disciples to teach all Nations all what he taught them. 18” Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in a the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 He did not ask them to modernize or teach otherwise. They were the people who lived with him and were taught by him Mark 3:13-15. They know his way of life and they continued in that trend and taught their generation to follow suit. They also committed the same thing to faithful men and women of faith who carried on the work of the ministry. Because of the mortality of human life they also died and the message was passed on to other set of people even unto this generation of ours. Men are indispensable tools in the hand of the creator of heaven and earth. God speaks to men through the instrumentality of men. God speaks to us in diverse ways but God speaks to us through his voice or through his men. God chose men among men to make them his voice, that is, speak through them. They were born the same way we were born but God chose them for his own special use. Even to this present time, God is still using his chosen men to speak to us. We called them ministers of God and so they are. They are to tell us the mind of God and teach the way Jesus and apostles of old taught people but alas! Some of them formulated their own principles called “success principles” I don’t know any principle of success in life, career, marriage and ministry than the one taught by Jesus and that of the bible like: 8 “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:8-9 ”Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. “ To be continue..
