The Truth Is What Lies Beyond In The Past. I finally saw the movie The Giver last night and I thought Id share my own perspective of the movie here. The overall theme of the movie was love and the emotions that come from and with it, and it ended with music and a memory from the past being played back. And what happens to a society when a governing body takes memory and those things (even color) and choices away from people and make everyone and everything the same. I personally related to The Giver as played by Jeff Bridges character because thats how I envision our society today, or at least where it is headed. Love and emotions as they once were expressed and individual choice seem to have been taken out of our society and music today and the end result is everyone and everything looks and sounds the same, and as a result love and music from today dont even seem to exist in my own truth and the society we are living in collectively ...and so I rely on and share my own memory and music and visions of the past to bring them all back in living color to the way things used to be, and could be once again, but only better.
