The Tsavo episode of Man eating lions was not by a long chalk and the most horrific in modern time-just the most publicised. There are some worst area like luangwa valley, fifty people killed in a month, selous game reserve in Tz where more than two hundred people were killed. Over eighteen months between 2001 to 2002 border btw Tz and Mozambique area called Delgado more than 70 people were killed by man eater. Many factors that led to lions start preying on human being varies from region to region the likes of rider pest, malaria, farmers staying out during the night to take care of their crops, refugees and through slave trade route. Genetically still we might be still having man eating lions in Africa.
