The Tuesday Happiness Project By Danny Mack Money doesnt make you happy. Is that really true? I am going to be honest, money makes me happy. There I said it for the whole world to see. Can you say it too? If you cant why not? One of the reasons you may find it hard to admit money makes you happy is because you have been received the negative messages about money. Messages like: Money is the root of all evil. Rich people are greedy. In order for you to have money others have to do without. To get money you have to sacrifice family. These are all powerful messages that make people feel bad for achieving wealth. Here is the reality about money and happiness. If you dont have your basic needs being met and some of the things you would like to have then getting money will make you happy. In fact, it can change your life. If you give the average person 100,000 dollars you will see them get happy. Really happy. However, if you were to give Donald Trump or Paris Hilton 100,000 dollars it would be just another number to them. It would not increase happiness. There is a place of wealth where money does not do anything for you. That is why you see extremely wealthy people living unhappy lives. But take away their wealth and they will definitely be unhappy. Back to my question. Does money make you happy? I have not had money and I have had money. I would rather have it. My answer is yes. How about you?
