The Twenty Extra Pound Holidays: I love the big holidays I really do, most of my fondest memories revolve around Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years...Easter gets an honorable mention cause when I look back, all I keep coming up with is tight shoes, defective clip on ties and Church..a..l..l... d...a...y. Back to the big holidays, if I have one problem with them that would be MUST WE EAT OURSELVES INTO A COMA everytime?! Man I hate being that disgustingly full for two or three days, and it just doesnt stop until everything is either gone or drys up in the refrigerator lol. Quite frankly its a vicious cycle of eating and shitting, eat and shit.....eat...sleep...and shit. You sit down with the fam for the initial holiday meal and have a little bit of everything. Later on that night your like damn that ham was good you tell yourself Ill just heat up a few slices of ham then realize you cant have ham without macaroni & cheese, I cant just have meat and starch, you throw on some collards. But damn collard greens go hand in hand with candied yams, while closing the foil on the yams you see the stuffing, gotta have gravy for your stuffing, which you find next to the turkey which has a ridiculous amount of dark meat remaining. Of course once your plate comes out of the microwave you have to finish it off with some cranberry sauce....which you find 3 cm north of the potato salad. Not this year though! I am determined to show restraint and control. We ate around six last night and I havent touch anymore of the food since. I will admit Im a little hungry, nothing major. And it doesnt make good economic sense to cook something else with all that food sitting in there, that would be a sin. So with that said I wish all my friends a very Merry and safe Christmas....maybe Ill just heat up a few slices of ham.......
