The Twitter conversation during GA was lively, especially Thursday and Friday, as some vigorously debated recommendations came to the floor. Here are some of the comments: Marriage, divestment, drones, gun violence, etc. You can say many things about PC(USA) but you cant say we avoid difficult issues. Love #PCUSA. They have tackled so many current issues and demonstrate Gods interaction and how to be the church in the world. I will say this about PCUSA: our fierce debates are called polite by the media. They will know we are Christians by our love. When hearts are too full for words, or sorrow defies articulation, we turn to poetry and melody to link us to the One Song.
