The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced that the 3rd Congressional District will receive resources for water projects that fall under the 2014 Farm Bill’s Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP). The resources provided under the RCPP were requested by a broad coalition of regional stakeholders, which include water districts, local governments, conservationists, agricultural producers, and others, and they all stand ready to put these resources to work on projects that will create clean, renewable hydropower, help ensure sustained agriculture production and limit the impacts of severe drought in the Colorado River Basin.
